I have gone out of my way and bought a MAC 15x empty palette to store my single eyeshadows in, plus I added four more shadows to my collection. As you can see my trusted bronze quad is added to this palette too because 1. it is easier to have all eyeshadows in one palette and 2. they all compliment each other beautifully!
My mission is to fill this palette with an addition of shades a bit more out of my comfort zone, but I also want shades I know I will be happy to use. The new four shades is in lilac and violet tones which I have never tried before. As soon as I recieved them I tried them on, and I went for a halo smokey eye with Quarry as a transition colour and Deep Samson to add some darkness to my inner corners. I used a white highlight shade with a tint of rose gold from the maybelline 24K palette to highlight the center of my eyelid and blended it out with Trax, and I really liked the outcome! It is a bit darker than my usual eye makeup, but I really liked it and I think it would be great for a night out.
In the future I would like a moss green shade to blend out under my lower lash line with a bronze or copper eyeshadow look. I would also like some rose shades for the spring and summertime and a few highlighter colours.
Let me know what your favourite MAC eyeshadow shades are!
